Lepa Brena at Vasil Levski Stadium - nostalgia, smiles and a return to a legendary memory.

Lepa Brena at Vasil Levski Stadium - nostalgia, smiles and a return to a legendary memory, meetings that are not planned - they simply happen at the right time, in the right place.

That was the day when Lepa Brena decided to return to Vasil Levski Stadium - the place where more than three decades ago he landed by helicopter and gave one of the most memorable concerts in the history of the Balkans.

Now, years later, she stepped onto the grass of the same stadium again – without a stage, without spotlights, just with a smile and a desire to recall the emotion.
As I arranged the frames, I realized that there was something symbolic – a legend of Balkan music standing in the center of the place named after the Apostle of Freedom.

Moments of remembrance and respect

Among the photos, there is a special contrast – the smiling Brena in front of the portrait of Vasil Levski.
She pointed to the painting respectfully, with the kind of gesture that is not rehearsed.
Then, in the sports hall of fame, she stopped for a moment in front of the display case with the jersey and the golden ball of Hristo Stoichkov – as if she wanted to pay tribute to the people who carry the spirit of Bulgaria around the world.
In these moments, there is no need for words – the camera simply preserves the sincerity.

A little history

Lepa Brena (Fahreta Živoinović) is one of the biggest stars of the former Yugoslavia and an idol of an entire generation.
In 1990, she gave a legendary concert at the Vasil Levski Stadium, arriving by helicopter – an event that went down in history with an audience of over 100,000 people.
Today, after so many years, Brena continues to sing, smile and inspire.
She is a symbol of timeless music, good mood and human warmth – qualities that are difficult to capture, but always felt in the frame.

Behind the scenes

This short photoshoot was natural – no pre-script, no studio lighting.
Just a throwback to the past, captured in a few frames.
As a photographer, I love exactly these moments – casual, human, full of nostalgia and smiles.
This is the true power of photography – to hold onto moments that time would otherwise take away.
