To film an artist like DARA is to enter the rhythm of unquenchable energy. This album from her concert at Maimunarnika Club (Sofia) is a visual story about the power of stage presence.
I chose to present the shots in black and white to isolate the noise of colors and emphasize what is most important – pure emotion, facial expression and interaction with the audience. As a stage photographer, my task here was to capture those split seconds in which the music and the artist become one. These are not just performance photos, but documented moments of artistic passion through the lens of Simeon Salov.
