Wedding photographer at the Church of St. Paraskeva – Behind the scenes

There is something special about the old churches of Sofia – especially the Church of St. Paraskeva.
When you step inside, time stops. The air smells of wax, the frescoes whisper stories from centuries ago, and the light falls in such a way that even without pressing the shutter, you already feel the shot.

A look at the magnificent interior of the Church of St. Paraskeva in Sofia, minutes before the wedding ritual begins. The decorated aisle and solemn atmosphere create a sense of the upcoming celebration.

The temple is a true architectural jewel – designed by the great architect Anton Tornyov and completed in 1930, it is one of the most impressive Orthodox temples in Sofia. The dome, the frescoes and the iconostasis are painted with a finesse that gives every ceremony dignity and spiritual depth. For me as a photographer this is priceless – the light is reflected in a way that makes every frame almost picturesque.

The solemn atmosphere in **Saint Paraskeva Church**, captured in a beautiful vertical shot. The decorated aisle and the grandeur of the iconostasis and chandelier create a unique atmosphere for the wedding ritual.

As a wedding photographer, I have photographed in dozens of churches, but here the feeling is always different –
warm, holy, intimate. This time, behind the scene was not just a ritual, but a deep symbolism –
every movement, every smile, every touch of hands between the newlyweds was a shot in itself.

A beautiful detailed shot showing the sacred objects for the Wedding ritual - the crowns, the gospel, and the cup of red wine, prepared in **Saint Paraskeva Church**.

Before the ceremony, in the courtyard of the temple, the best men were arranging the candles, and the bride arrived with that slight anxiety that always turns into tenderness in front of the lens. The groom was waiting for her at the entrance – and that moment, when their eyes met, is something that no technique can recreate. Only the human eye and heart.

A wonderful portrait of the best men - the most important witnesses and support for the newlyweds. The photo was taken in the festive atmosphere in front of **St. Paraskeva Church**.

Inside, the priest greeted them with a blessing, and the silence was broken only by the clicking of the camera.
The church ritual here is special – calm, but saturated with deep feeling.
The golden reflections on the icons and the soft light through the windows created a natural decor
that even the best studio cannot offer.

After the wedding, outside in front of the temple, the guests and family welcomed the newlyweds with joyful cheers and wishes for a long and happy marriage.

One of the most fun wedding traditions – the group photo with friends! The newlyweds and the godmother are surrounded by their smiling friends for a cheerful memory in front of the Church of St. Paraskeva.

We also took a few candid shots here – not posed, but pure, human.
Exactly the kind I like to leave behind – moments that speak for themselves.
