When we talk about motorcycle photography and specifically Harley-Davidson, we're not just photographing a vehicle. We're photographing a cult, a lifestyle, and a character that's felt even before the bike starts.
This white Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 “My Sporty” is just such a case – personalized, lovingly maintained, and ridden by a man for whom the machine is an extension of his personality. That’s why I approached the photoshoot like a little photo film, not just a series of shots.
The motorcycle – a classic in black and white

A white Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 is photographed in close-up – My Sporty tank, headlight and part of the engine against a background of green coniferous trees. Professional motorcycle photography by photographer Simeon Salov.
The Harley-Davidson Sportster has been a legend since the 1950s – compact, agile, with the familiar V-twin heart and endless customization options. The 1200cc version adds that true Harley thrust – a sound you don’t just hear, you feel in your chest.
Here the bike is dressed in a contrasting white tank line with the inscription "My Sporty" and matte black on the engine, exhaust and frame. The chrome on the suspension and details does not shine aggressively, but emphasizes the shapes - just enough to remind you that this is not a garage project, but a well-thought-out custom.
The close-up shots emphasize:
emblems Harley-Davidson on the airbox;
the drilled tubes and protective frame, which give a more muscular and raw appearance;
the massive front disc and the spoked wheel, which harken back to classic choppers.
The owner in front of the lens – Silvia Radulova and her Harley

The main role in the photo shoot was not given to a random model, but to the real owner of the bike – Silvia Radulova, known to many people from online reality formats such as "Survivor".
She is not just "next to the bike" - she is the person who gives it a face and a story. In the shots of her standing, in body movement and in the calmer moments (smile, look over the sunglasses, play with the rose) you can see how her character merges with the character of the Harley - self-confidence, a slight challenge and a lot of freedom.
This is the idea of this motorcycle photo shoot – to capture not only the design, but also the owner's attitude towards the machine.
I work with a wider aperture to isolate her silhouette and the bike from the background. The greenery behind them softens the frame and balances the weight of the black and chrome – a combination that gives an artistic feel without losing the character of the Harley.
Light, colors and atmosphere

A white Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 My Sporty is photographed in a dynamic side angle – seat, tank, engine and footrests on a stone pavement and green background. Professional motorcycle photoshoot by photographer Simeon Salov.
When photographing motorcycles, light is everything. Painted surfaces, chrome, and deep shadows in an engine can either kill the detail or bring it to the forefront.
Here I used:
soft daylightthat highlights shapes without harsh reflections;
different angles to "break" the classic profile - low frames towards the front, diagonal lines on the tank and frame;
a combination of color and black and white treatments – the color versions show off the bike's glossy whites and deep blacks, while the monochrome shots add a retro feel, as if this Harley could be transported to any decade.
Some shots have a delicate "light leak" effect that brings a sense of analog photography - a nod to the times when such bikes were the stars of movies and posters.
A motorcycle photoshoot as a story, not just a catalog

Very often, owners are looking for a motorcycle photoshoot for an ad or to show off their project on social media. The difference between ordinary photos and a professional photoshoot is precisely in the approach.
The goal here was not simply to "see the bike from all sides", but:
to show the detailsthat time and money have been invested in – emblems, exhaust system, seat, suspension;
to capture the connection between man and machine – as it is between Sylvia and her Harley;
to create footage that looks like a film still or a poster, not a technical catalog.
This is the difference between standard photography and art car and motorcycle photography – in the former we document, in the latter we tell stories.
Who is this kind of photoshoot for?
owners Harley-Davidson who want to keep their machine in its best shape – before selling or just for themselves.
For people who do custom projects and need quality shots for portfolios, social media, or print.
For clubs and events where motorcycle photography needs to show atmosphere, not just parked bikes.
